Various interpretations and schools of thought have developed on alchemy, many have seen it as a forerunner of today’s chemistry and have divided into two schools of opposing ideas: something that deals with visionary madmen who have an impossible goal, the transformation of lead into gold, which has damaged chemistry understood in the ordinary sense and others who maintain that this research has served to accumulate those experiences that have founded the foundations of today’s science.

We will see in the meetings that Alchemy has a mainly symbolic meaning, that is, it uses terms, images, operations that should not be understood literally, but which, through allegory and analogy, speak of something else. The "lead" on which one works and the "gold" produced by this transformation, must be interpreted as symbols of the man who is seeking the perfection of his nature, in essence, one of the central mysteries of Alchemy is that the transformations we are talking about concern the alchemist himself.
