For the second autumn concert, the Associazione Musicale Lucchese hosts the Italian-Ukrainian pianist Anna Kravtchenko, who will perform on Saturday 26 October at 5.30 pm in the auditorium of the Boccherini Conservatory.
The concert opens with the Sonata n.7 in D major op. 10 no. 3 by Beethoven, a work in which maturity, lightness and pathos are found, elements perfectly blended together. Following, the Piano Sonata no. 2 in B flat minor, op. 36, a work of great charm and complexity by Sergej Rachmaninov. The concert closes with the Sonata in B minor S.178 that Liszt dedicated to Robert Schumann, one of the milestones of the piano repertoire for its depth of thought and richness of writing.
Liszt is precisely one of the elective authors of this pianist who, with his unmistakable style and extraordinary expressive force, makes every concert an enthralling and enlightening experience. Anna Kravtchenko established herself on the international scene after winning, at the age of 16 and unanimously, the Ferruccio Busoni International Competition in Bolzano. She has played for the major European musical institutions and performed with important Italian and foreign orchestras, collaborating with important conductors.
Also active in chamber music, she had the pleasure of working with Enrico Dindo, Pavel Berman, Sergey Krylov, Georg Hoertnagel, Stefan Milenkovich, Ole Edvard Antonsen.
After having been a teacher for 15 years at the Piano Academy of Imola, since 2013 she has been a piano teacher at the Conservatory of Italian Switzerland in Lugano.
