On Sunday 2 March the CarnevalFratta returns to Piazza San Francesco, a famous "masquerade" event which since the end of the seventies has animated the "Bastardo" neighbourhood, the "Fratta" and "Borghi di Levante" area and has soon become the Carnival of Lucca, a cultural and artistic moment of great attraction, in the square and in the city throughout the year with workshops for masks and the creation of floats.
In the nineties, 60 Pulcinella arrived from Avellino. All that remains is to see what 2025 holds for us!
On the programme, music, shows and good food for all ages, with departure scheduled for 3pm and conclusion after dinner. The hosts of Piazza San Francesco, the San Francesco Popular Committee and the cultural and social promotion association Catecholamina Garage will participate.
