Queen Unseen

Organized by Blu&Blu Network, “QUEEN UNSEEN – Peter Hince” is the most important exhibition on the English band ever set up in Italy. Photographs, original memorabilia, videos and rarities retrace the life and career of the four members of Queen, and in particular the myth of Freddie Mercury.

Thanks to the fortune of having worked for one of the most famous hit factories of the 70s and 80s, Ratty – as Hince was nicknamed – was able to have access, both professionally and privately, to the salient moments that distinguished the Bohemian Rhapsody band that he managed to stop in time and make eternal with his memorable shots.

The partnership between Hince and Queen began in 1975, when the band was preparing to record A Night at the Opera. Peter was the person in charge of instruments and soundchecks who had to ensure that the band's performance on stage went as planned; he soon earned the trust of Freddie, Brian, John and Roger.

Unfortunately, there are no photographs of those early years, which Peter began to take from 1977, when the band had already reached the peak of their worldwide success, until 1986.

The exhibition, therefore, is not only an unprecedented photographic journey through the most important moments of the band, but a real experiential journey embellished with memorabilia, records, posters, musical instruments, clothes and accessories, documents, rarities and original memorabilia belonging to the members of the band (from Mercury's microphone stand, to the costumes for the Radio Gaga video and much more).

And again, to conclude the exhibition path, visitors will have access to a video room in which rare clips of the band's main international concerts will be projected.

"Queen Unseen | Peter Hince" is made up of 60 images by the London photographer never previously exhibited in any European country, and some of which are absolute international previews, and over a hundred memorabilia, memorabilia, objects and various documents, all strictly original.

Fifty years after the release of their first album, the eponymous Queen, the exhibition represents an unmissable opportunity for fans to discover previously unseen aspects and details about the group and for the general public to broaden their knowledge of the band that revolutionized music over the last 50 years and that still manages to be extraordinarily relevant today.
