24 choristers, accompanied by three teachers, will perform a repertoire mainly of sacred music including Vivaldi's ‘Gloria’, Mozart's ‘Laudate Dominum’ and some traditional songs.
20 May at 5.30 p.m. in the Basilica of San Paolino the festival hosts the Forest School Choir conducted by Maestro James Clement
James Norrey, organ on the occasion of the Festival Accoglienze of the Oltremusica project.
The choir consists of 56 students aged between 8 and 11 and 7 teachers, including conductor James Clements and organist James Norrey. The repertoire is mainly sacred without neglecting traditional music.
The concert, promoted and organised by the association Musicalia APS, is part of the artistic project ‘Oltremusica’', an event that through the presence of numerous youth orchestras from various parts of the world, aims to contribute to giving an image of Lucca as open and welcoming with respect to projects of great educational value and to promote an increasingly open connection and dialogue with the community.
The association's staff will be happy to talk, meet and discuss with anyone who wants to, before or after the event.
