On May 20, the most important and famous cycling race in Italy returns to the city, an individual time trial from Lucca to Pisa that promises to be spectacular and full of charm and history, with cyclists called to cover the approximately 30 kilometers of the test.
After the start in the historic center, from Piazza Napoleone, the riders will climb the scenic Walls to complete half a lap of the tree-lined circle (as in the 1984 prologue) and then in the direction of Pisa passing by the Forum and San Giuliano Terme and through a route that winds through the gentle Tuscan countryside along the Medicean aqueduct with arrival in Piazza dei Miracoli, uniting two symbolic places known throughout the world such as the Walls and the Leaning Tower.
From there, through the peripheral neighborhoods, you arrive at Brenner heading towards Pisa, through San Giuliano, arriving in Piazza dei Miracoli. 28.6 kilometers of route with the slight slope of the Foro di San Giuliano as the only mild roughness, before the final kilometers on the flat. A race suitable for time racing specialists. The tour will end on June 1st with arrival in Rome. MORE INFO
